about

Press Biog :

BTLBTO is a musical piece to listen from the opening to the end; the edifice looks like a logical suite to Lazare but also like its dark side. The vertigo appeal succeeds to the call for the divine, inquietude to vitalism, energy of chaos to the one of renaissance. Here we find all the obsessions of the duo: vocal Dopplereffekt aridity, the repetitiveness of Terry Riley, the chromatic simplicity of John Carpenter, but also a refinement and a concern of a new rythm efficiency (Moloch, Mongrel, Enoma ... ), all set by abyssal analog synthesizers that sink into limbo. From the union of opposing forces was born a new form of emotion : the track Ize is a litany, one last call before a predicted ending; Carbon Cowboy captures the breath of a survivor wandering in a ghost town (the cult and sulfurous Tonetta !), Moloch evokes our fascination with self-destruction, Mongrel is a two-headed monster, a baptism in reverse, while in Zero in the Zenith reduces us to a particle in the infinity. At last Bethanie unrolls the end credits to our story.
